Italian chef Massimo Bottura owns a three Michelin star restaurant Osteria Francescana, in Milan. Currently rated the third best restaurant in the world, he considers it his mission to create art on a plate.

His dishes are pictures; balanced not only visually but in taste too. The philosophy behind his food demonstrates his belief that each dish comes from personal emotions and should tell a story. ‘Oops! I Dropped the Tiramisu’, led to the creation of his signature dessert, Tiramisu deconstructed.

His food challenges us to look in a different way. So in the spirit of Massimo, here’s some deconstructed images, split apart by a prism of mirrors and put back together again.
